The Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS) supports our professionals and partners in the face of recent actions that will impact conservation progress and the sustainability of the nation’s food supply. Conservation programs and organizations play a fundamental role in strengthening our farmers, farmland, communities, and the nation - making us more resilient and secure. Today, their role is more vital than ever.

Thousands of dedicated conservation professionals - who provide support to the stewards of our land and water - have been terminated from their roles on short notice. Moreover, critical conservation funding is being withheld, putting our farmers, food systems and natural resources at risk.

Now more than ever, we must come together for agricultural conservation and its vital role in ensuring resilient agriculture, thriving communities, and a healthy environment. SWCS is committed to supporting the people and programs that protect our soil and water resources and ensure a safe, affordable and plentiful food supply.

We will continue to elevate the voices of conservation professionals and work toward solutions that protect our shared future.

We welcome you to share how these changes are affecting you, your programs and your community through an anonymous form at this link. By hearing your examples, we can help amplify your voices.
