Join us for a guided spring hike to discover the trees of our local area! In this beginner-friendly program, we’ll explore how to identify common trees using leaves, flowers, bark, and overall shape. Along the trail, you’ll learn simple tips and tricks to recognize species and gain a deeper appreciation for the forest in full spring growth. No prior experience needed. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes, dress for the weather, and bring plenty of water. This will be a stroll on an easy-rated trail.

Hosted in partnership with the Lord Fairfax SWCD, Virginia Department of Forestry, Soil and Water Conservation Society, and Seven Bends State Park.

*Pre-registration is encouraged for this event.

**There is no fee for this program, but an annual or daily parking pass is required.
