This two-day workshop covers academic writing essentials, article structure, and writing strategies, in the area of Science & Technology. Participants will learn to draft, outline, and review papers, create effective titles and abstracts, and understand article types and their purposes.

Day 1 will cover:

• Academic writing: style, tone and how to communicate effectively
• Overview of common article types for the research area and their purpose
• Breakdown of typical research article (what needs to be included in each section) 
• Other elements of the article (charts and graphs, images, data)
