June 21, 2024, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (US Pacific)
The Soil Biodiversity and Health Lab at the University of California, Davis, in partnership with Jackson Family Wines, is hosting a Regenerative Viticulture Field Day on June 21, 2024, at the Sara Lee vineyard in Sonoma, California. This half-day event will focus on regenerative viticulture and showcase how it can support the future success of the California winegrape industry. It’s open to growers, viticulturists, vineyard managers, extension advisors, researchers, students, and the greater viticulture community in the Napa and Sonoma regions. There will be a diverse series of talks and demonstrations from experts in the field of regenerative viticulture throughout the day. The first half of the program comprises talks that will focus on the principles, practices, and long-term benefits of regenerative agriculture, followed by in-depth discussions on water management in regenerative agriculture and the economics of regenerative viticulture. The second half of the field day will showcase demonstrations of sheep grazing and compost production that could be performed on-site at a vineyard. Lastly, the program will wrap up with a panel discussion with several leading experts who currently adopt and implement regenerative agricultural practices in their vineyard agroecosystems.
Space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot today. All are welcome to attend. View the Event Flyer
