Region 4 of the Empire State Chapter is hosting a Regional meeting on Friday September 14, 2018 in Lake George, NY

9:00 am Check in - place lunch order, Bella’s deli menu provided or lunch on your own
9:30 am Welcome – Peter Wright, SWCS Empire Chapter President
9:45 – 10:30 am - Dr. Jeremy Farrell, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and The Lake George Association, “Harmful Algal Blooms”
10:35 – 11:20 am – Randy Rath, The Lake George Association, “Bacterial Tracking” source contamination
11:25 – 12:00 pm – Olga Vargas, USDA NRCS Soil Scientist, heavy metal detection, Rapid Heavy Metal Analysis using X-Ray Fluorescence technology.
12 – 1 pm – lunch by Bella’s Deli: pre-order or lunch on you own
1 – 3 pm – Clean water / Stormwater Tour in Lake George Village – refer to the attached map for site descriptions. A trolley will leave the Fire Department at 1 pm. We will view up to 10 sites, time permitting. After the last tour stop, we will have a short, two block walk back to the LGVFD.
