The Nebraska Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society will hold its 37th Annual Legislative/Informational Breakfast from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m., February 4, 2020 in Room 397A of the Denney Federal Building, 100 Centennial Mall N, Lincoln, NE. Refreshments will be served beginning at 7:15 a.m. with the program scheduled to begin at 7:30.
Britt Weiser, Nebraska State Resource Conservationist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service will begin the program with a presentation on the Agency’s new source water protection initiative. The focus of the initiative is to provide conservation assistance to producers and others to protect the quality and quantity of water for community water systems. He will be followed by a representative from the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy discussing their Source Water Protection program.
Visitor parking is available on the west side of the parking garage south of the building (enter from “O” Street on the north or “P” Street on the south). Visitors must enter the Federal Building via the west entrance off of Centennial Mall and pass through security. Security requires a photo ID and visitors must pass through a metal detector. Weapons, including pocket knives, and metal coffee mugs that would spill are not allowed. The west entrance will open at 7:00 a.m.
