February 6, 2025, 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM (US Central)
The Nebraska SWCS Chapter will hold its 42nd Annual Legislative/Informational Breakfast from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m., February 6, 2025, in the lower level meeting room (Lincoln Room) at 1233 Lincoln Mall in Lincoln. Refreshments will be served beginning at 7:00, and the program is scheduled to begin at 7:20.
There will be two presentations this year. The first will be Updates on the Resilient Soils Act and the Nitrogen Reduction Act presented by Alexa Davis, an environmental specialist with the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (NeDNR). Hear how NeDNR has helped producers connect and embrace innovative technology using the Resilient Soils and Water Quality Act and the Nitrogen Reduction Incentive Act.
Next will be an Overview of the New Nebraska Soil Health Coalition presented by Craig Derickson, Coalition board member and former Nebraska state conservationist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Learn how a small group of motivated conservationists came together to establish a new independent, nonprofit, and tax-exempt organization to advance producer-led education and outreach and accelerate the adoption of soil health systems in Nebraska.
Parking is available in the back, and there is unmetered street parking south of Lincoln Mall. Enter the building from the back and take the elevator down to the meeting room.
Please join the Nebraska SWCS Chapter at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6th!
