Join the Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS) for Conservation Professionals Week, a week-long celebration of the people who power conservation. Throughout the week, we’ll spotlight the dedicated professionals working every day to protect our soil, water, and related natural resources. These are the researchers, planners, policymakers, technicians, educators, students, and community leaders whose passion and expertise drive real, lasting change in our landscapes and communities.

Follow along on SWCS social media to hear members’ stories, see their work in action, and learn what inspires them to care for the land and water we all depend on. Join us in celebrating the individuals behind conservation—because their work sustains the future.

Ways to Participate

  • Submit your story to SWCS as a short video, written response, or quote by August 8.
  • Post your conservation story on social media and tag us, or use our hashtag: #FacesOfConservation.
  • Like, comment, and share our posts throughout the week to spread the word about the amazing work conservation professionals are doing.
  • Join our Conservation Voices webinar on Tuesday at 1 p.m. CT. Stay tuned for more details!
  • Host a local social with your SWCS chapter or fellow conservation colleagues.
