Rod Snyder is focused on building consensus at the intersection of agriculture and environmental policy, as well as strengthening supply chain sustainability initiatives. From 2021-2024, he served as Senior Advisor for Agriculture to the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency where he established and led EPA's first-ever Office of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He has spent more than two decades working to advance climate and sustainability goals across U.S. agriculture in partnership with farmers, ranchers, environmental NGOs, food and agribusiness companies, federal and state agencies, and academia. He lives on his family's farm in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia and is deeply committed to the vitality of rural communities.
