Jamie Ridgely brings to the Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS) Board of Directors a rare combination of deep conservation roots and forward-looking private-sector leadership. Raised in rural Iowa, she remains closely tied to agriculture and land stewardship, farming alongside her husband and three daughters on their family’s century farm. Her career began with more than 18 years at Agren, an Iowa-based consulting firm at the intersection of agriculture and environment, where she developed a strong grounding in soil and water conservation through work with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as agricultural and environmental NGOs. She later helped lead the transition of the company’s consulting practice into an agricultural technology startup, guiding the development of precision conservation tools for in-field planning and positioning that work for broader private-sector adoption. At Land O’Lakes, she partnered closely with ag retail and led the design and launch of Truterra’s farmer-focused soil carbon programs. Today, as COO and interim CEO of HabiTerre, she leverages experience from across the conservation, agriculture, and business landscape to advance science-based MRV and remote sensing solutions that align productive agriculture with measurable conservation impact.
