• SWCS has proudly self-published the Journal of Soil and Water Conservation for nearly 80 years. In recent years, however, we have faced significant challenges, including rising production expenses, constrained resources for marketing and distribution, and a limited ability to reach a wider audience. By partnering with Taylor & Francis, SWCS aims to improve the journal's accessibility, expand its readership, and continue to ensure publication excellence and long-term sustainability.
  • We are excited to benefit from Taylor & Francis’s expertise, gained from partnerships with more than 700 scholarly societies and 2,700 journals. Moving forward, they will manage the production, marketing, and distribution of the journal. In addition to making JSWC accessible in more libraries and research institutions around the world, JSWC’s research will be highlighted with content from other conservation journals, with the aim of finding new readers and expanding our pool of potential contributors.
  • Research editors J. Gordon Arbuckle, Jr. (Iowa State University) and Gretchen Sassenrath (Kansas State University) along with SWCS staff will provide the same high-quality, peer-reviewed content, extensive author engagement, and production oversight that has made JSWC a leading journal in the soil and water conservation field.
