Rex Martin grew up on a farrow to finish swine operation in Camden, Arkansas. A former Arkansas State FFA President, Rex attended college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business.
For nearly 30 years, Rex has worked in various positions related to environmental regulation and legislation at the state and federal levels. As head of external relations at Syngenta, his responsibilities included directing engagement with agricultural groups, setting and implementing North America Syngenta ag and environmental policy, directing the federal government relations department, and managing Syngenta’s “Leadership at its Best℠” training program. He then served as senior vice president of Owner Relations for Dairy Management Inc., where his responsibilities included leading a team managing Farmer Relations, Agricultural External Engagement, and Crisis Communications. He recently was hired as the Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, a social/professional agricultural fraternity with it headquarters based in Kansas City, Missouri.
When he is not working with agricultural organizations, Rex enjoys skiing and snowmobiling along with singing and playing music. Rex lives in Springfield, Missouri, with his wife, Kristie, and teenage daughters, Blair, a freshman at DePaul University, and Haley, a sophomore at Kickapoo High School.
