CFC Contributions

As you consider your personal participation in the Combined Federal Campaign, I am asking that among the many important services and organizations available for specific contribution, that you support the Soil and Water Conservation Society. Also, please consider indicating on your pledge card that you are willing to be identified as a donor, so that we can recognize your contribution.

The Charity Code for the Society is 11797. 

The past 12 months have been an exciting time for the Soil and Water Conservation Society. We have partnered with many agencies and organizations in sponsoring a number of important conferences and workshops on issues important to the science of soil and water conservation. Topics include sedimentation in reservoirs, science-based solutions to gulf hypoxia, managing agricultural landscapes, and carbon markets in addition to our annual international conference. 

The Journal of Soil and Water Conservation continues to be a world class, peer-reviewed journal. The Journal’s research articles and abstracts have been visited electronically more than 370,000 times this past year.

For the first time, the Society contributed as an author to the AAAS Annual Report on Research and Development, producing a chapter highlighting proposed FY-2011 research budgets for food, nutrition, agriculture, and natural resource sciences.

All of these activities were accomplished in part by the membership and contributions of individuals such as yourself.
