The OKNRC is hosted by the Oklahoma Chapters of The Wildlife Society, American Fisheries Society, Society for Range Management, Oklahoma Invasive Plant Council, Prescribed Fire Council, the Soil and Water Conservation Society, Oklahoma Ornithological Society, Oklahoma Division of Society of American Foresters and the Oklahoma Game Warden Association.
One goal of this conference is to increase interaction among the different professional natural resource entities in Oklahoma. Another goal is to increase awareness of what the different natural resource societies, agencies and NGOs are doing across the state, as well as foster future partnerships. An additional benefit of this conference is to bring natural resource professionals from across Oklahoma to one location to share their experience, knowledge, and research, and to allow the opportunity to network with familiar peers and new ones.
Abstracts for paper and poster presentations are now being accepted for the Oklahoma Natural Resources Conference being held on February 22-24, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Tulsa in Tulsa, OK. Professionals and students are encouraged to submit abstracts. Acceptable subject matter topics in natural resources include: range, wildlife, fisheries, forestry and environmental sciences.
