International Conservation Conference
International Conservation Conference in Tucson July 26-30
The 63rd Annual International Conference of the Soil and Water Conservation Society will be held from July 26-30, 2008, at the JW Marriott Starr Pass in Tucson, Arizona. The conference is open to conservation professionals and individuals interested in the science of natural resource conservation.
The conference includes workshops, education sessions, networking opportunities, special symposia, poster presentations, and technical tours designed to inform and educate participants on recent developments in the science and art of natural resource conservation and environmental management. The area of special interest for the 2008 conference is "Getting the Water Right: Hydrology, Climate Change, and the Bio-economy" and we will be hosting a special workshop on the topic on the last day of the conference.
There are more than 575 conservation professionals from throughout the United States, Canada, and six other nations currently registered to attend.

The Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS) is a nonprofit scientific and educational organization founded in 1943 and headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa. There are more 5,000 members and 65 local chapters throughout the United States and Canada.
