Scholarships

The Society’s Professional Development Committee will evaluate and rank applications.  Recommendations will be presented to the  Board of Directors for final approval.  Recognition of all scholarship recipients will be made at the Soil and Water Conservation Society Annual Conference. 

Applications submitted by email are encouraged. Send to: scholarships@swcs.org. You may also submit applications by U.S. Postal Service (1 copy only) to: SWCS-Scholarships, 945 SW Ankeny Rd., Ankeny, IA  50023. You may fax letters of recommendation to 515-289-1227.  Applications must be received by February 12. All forms of submission will receive a confirmation of receipt.  Late applications will not be considered.
 

Please be aware that you must be a member of the Soil and Water Conservation Society for at least 1 year to apply for these scholarships.  Opportunities for scholarships are as follows:

1. Research Scholarship—not available in 2012—made possible by Kenneth E. Grant.

2. Soil Conservation Scholarship—made possible by Donald A. Williams.

3. Student Leader Conservation Scholarship—made possible by Melville H. Cohee.
