Journal of Soil and Water Conservation
Stay informed about the latest conservation research, tools, practices, and policy with articles that address natural resource challenges and innovations worldwide. Published six times a year, the JSWC is a multidisciplinary journal composed of two sections: the A Section containing various departments and features, and the Research Section containing peer-reviewed research papers. Online subscriptions include access to all issues back to 1981. Members also receive author page charge and reprint discounts on article publications.

Conservogram Member Newsletter

Membership to Local Chapter of SWCS
By joining SWCS, you automatically become a member of your local state chapter. Local chapters sponsor activities; provide a network for a broad range of conservation professionals; and offer training, technical assistance, and hands-on experience with demonstrations, projects and workshops. Contact your chapter president to become involved.

Connect and Network
Becoming a member allows you to network with professionals from various disciplines through local, regional and international meetings. Not only will you will receive a personal invitation to these events, you will be eligible to attend some of the most important conservation meetings of the year at a discounted rate and earn continuing education credits. The SWCS International Annual Conference, which showcases the latest research and techniques in conservation, is a prime opportunity for you network with your peers from across the world. Want to showcase your own research or other conservation related work? As a member, you are guaranteed to receive an invitation to present your expertise to an audience of over 400 conservation professionals during the Annual Conference.

Awards and Scholarships
The awards program is designed to recognize individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions in advocating the conservation of soil, water and related natural resources. Professional awards are available to honor outstanding achievements and dedication in the profession. SWCS also has three opportunities at the international level for scholarships: a research scholarship, a soil conservation scholarship, and a student leader scholarship.

Presidents Club $220 annually
Leader         $145 annually
Conservationist  $90 annually
Student* $30 annually
Conservation District   $110 annually
Developing Country      Conservationist  $36 annually (Qualifying countries defined by The World Bank)

 

Student members must be full-time students taking 12 credits/semester


 Conservation Districts are non-profit organizations devoted to providing educational programs on the conservation of soil, water, and other natural resources.
