Note regarding Podcast #3: This podcast discusses the plans for the Tuesday Plenary at the SWCS Annual Conference, not the full scope of CEAP activities planned for the conference this year. There are many. (Schedule) If you have any questions regarding the full scope of CEAP activities at the SWCS Annual Conference, please contact Lisa Duriancik, USDA-NRCS.

It is important to recognize the multiple agencies and private and non-profit partners involved in CEAP that continue to work to make the efforts a success. The report that is mentioned in the podcast is the “Assessment of the Effects and Benefits of Conservation Practices on Cultivated Cropland in the Upper Mississippi River Basin” report. The report is the first in a series of regional reports, and as such, establishes the basic template for the remaining reports. A final version of this report will be released this fall. In December 2008, SWCS coordinated a panel of experts (including Sandra Batie, Jeff Zinn, and Pete Nowak) to assist NRCS in preparing the report.

Other CEAP reports can be found at the CEAP Product Library: http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/Technical/nri/ceap/library.html
