Theo Gunther is the Agronomic Project Coordinator at the SWCS. He is currently working on two grant-funded projects. The first is a Conservation Innovation Grant received by The Fertilizer Institute that features producer field plots implementing 4R Nutrient Stewardship BMPs and creating marketable nitrous oxide emission offsets resulting from implementation of BMPs. The second project is the SWCS McKnight Foundation Grant for examining landscape application of nutrient capture wetlands to intercept and reduce nitrate-nitrogen loss from intensively tile drained farmlands in the Upper Mississippi River Basin.
