Colorado Chapter
See EVENTS for upcoming workshop!
Congratulations Colorado Chapter!
In 2007, the Colorado chapter hosted the “Soil and Water Conservation for Viable Biofuels” conference. Biofuels is a hot topic affecting the entire Great Plains Area as well as an interest to the entire nation. The chapter goals of the conference were to educate conservation professionals and the public on advances in biofuel systems and upcoming biofuels topics. The Conference provided a forum for conservationists, researchers, scientist, conservation practitioners and the general public to exchange technical information that addressed national and global soil and water conservation challenges. The participants earned continuing education credits (CEU), another valuable contribution from the Colorado chapter to members, Certified Crop Advisers and the public.
The Colorado chapter is awarded the Outstanding Chapter award for its overall efforts in maintaining a strategic plan to achieve long-term goals of the chapter, developing an activity report identifying key activities for the year, distributing newsletters throughout the year to keep chapter members informed of the yearly activities and conducting 3 technical workshops to educate and enhance soil and water conservation issues to those interested.
